Yerba Buena is the Order of the Arrow Lodge of the Golden Gate Area Council , Boy Scouts of America and was established on January 1, 2021 following the merger of Achewon Nimat Lodge 282, Kaweah Lodge 379 and Ut-in Selica Lodge 58. Although Order of the Arrow lodges no longer have official BSA numbers, our unofficial lodge number is “719” which is the sum of the three legacy lodge numbers. The Golden Gate Area Council was formed about six months earlier by the merger of the Alameda Council, Mt. Diablo Silverado Council and the San Francisco Bay Area Council.

Lodge Merger Status

The Lodge Chief from each of the legacy lodges in addition to two of his appointed arrowmen have been involved in online merger meetings since August 2020. This team is meeting twice a month to hash out the various topics. The goal is to have the different phases completed by earlier February 2021. if you have questions regarding the lodge merge, send them to “ ”. Phase 1 (Foundation) - Completed a. Eric Parnell will be the Lodge Adviser for the new Lodge b. Lodge year to be based on annual calendar and not school year calendar (January to December) c. Lodge will have 1 chapter/village to 1 district. d. Financially support GGAC operations and endowments yearly Phase 2 (Program) - Completed a. June ordeal will always be held at Camp Wolfeboro b. Two other ordeals will be held at one of the other four camps. 1) Spring induction and Fall Induction c. Holiday Party & Lodge Banquet in December. d. LLD beginning of February, Fellowship in April e. WCA and Klondike Derby early in year f. Webelos Woods Support Phase 3 (Operations) - Completed a.
